Arrested sharpshooter says he had killed associate of Jharkhand MLA

Ara: The arrested Jharkhand based sharpshooter Nand Kishor Singh alias Bablu Singh alias Mama, during interrogation, confessed that he along with his associates had killed Ranjay Singh, a close associate of an MLA from Jharia, Dhanbad in Jharkhand, Sanjeev Singh, on January 29, 2017. Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar said that Nand Kishor Singh said that had had hired two shooters of  Wasepur to kill Ranjay Singh. The SP said on January 29, 2017, he and one of the two shooters had fired and killed Ranjay Singh. Later, he gave the arms to his friend at Dhanbad, the SP said.

Nand Kishore said that the dispute started after his motorcycle touched Ranjay Singh’s Fortuner. Ranjay Singh put pistol on his head and threatened him with dire consequences and also abused him. In a fit of anger, he hatched a plan to kill him and hired two shooters from Wasepur. They followed the movements of Ranjay Singh and shot him dead at Chanakya Nagar Mor and escaped. He said that he pumped at least 13 bullets into his body with a double barrel pistol.

The SP said that Nand Kishor Singh was trying to safeguard those who had given him shelter and the main conspirators and no one can trust them. But, police are verifying what he said about arms and shooters.

The SP said that Nand Kishor Singh was himself a sharpshooter and so why he needed the help of other shooters. He confessed pumping 13 bullets into Ranajay Singh’s body but only six bullets were found at the time of post-mortem. Again an eye witness Raja Yadav, who accompanied Ranjay Singh on his scooty, had said that two motorcycle borne persons were firing.
