Ara Sadar Hospital patients protest realisation of excess amount

Ara : Hundreds of patients staged demonstration in front of the Out Patient Department (OPD), Ara Sadar Hospital, on May 16, 2018, and raised slogans against the hospital authorities for allegedly realising of excess amount from the patients.

Meera Devi, a patient, said at Sadar Hospital that the hospital administration has fixed a fee of Rs  5 per patient at the  time of registration at the OPD counter but the hospital employees were realising excess amount from the patients. When the patients objected to it, the employees rebuked them. After this, the patients staged demonstration in front of the OPD.

Deputy Superintendent (DS), Ara Sadar Hospital, Dr Satish Kumar Sinha rushed to the spot and pacified the patients and also rebuked the employees. Dr Sinha said that he had ordered an inquiry into the matter and stern action would be taken against the employees responsible for it.
