Ara residents block Ara -Buxar Road near Chandawa

Ara : Hundreds of residents of Ara blocked Ara-Buxar road near Chandawa under Nawada police station in Bhojpur district since July 27, 2019, morning, paralysing the movement of vehicles in protest against dilapidated condition of road. They burnt tyres on road and raised slogans against the district administration and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. As a result, hundreds of vehicles remained stranded on either side of road causing a lot of problems to the people.

Speaking on the occasion, the protesters said that the road from Chandawa Mor to New Police Line is in terrible condition and people face a lot of problems moving on the road. They said that they had complained to the authorities concerned more than once but to no avail so far forcingt them to resort to agitation.

Conceding their demand, Bhojpur district administration started construction of road from Chandawa Mor to New Police Line. As the construction of road started, the blockade was lifted and movement of vehicles restored.
