Ara Remand Home inmate thrashed by other inmates, admitted to hospital

Ara : A group of Ara Remand Home inmates thrashed a fellow inmate Chhote and injured him on November 5, 2018, evening. He was admitted to Sadar Hospital, Ara. The matter came to light after family members of the injured inmate came to see him on November 6, 2018.

Superintendent, Ara Remand Home, Niranjan Pandit, said that the injured inmate of Ara Remand Home Chhote was arrested five days ago for allegedly helping a dreaded criminal Hero escape. He said that Bhojpur police had conducted raids at the house of Nand Ji Yadav at village Bahuara five days ago to arrest Hero but the sons of Nand Ji Dubey clashed with cops and taking advantage of the melee, Hero escaped from the spot. After this, police arrested Chhote and sent him to the Remand Home as he is minor.

On November 5 evening, some inmates of Ara Remand Home asked Chhote as to why he was arrested but Chhote did not tell them the reason behind his arrest. Angry over it, they thrashed him and injuring him seriously. Chhote’s brother Brajesh Kumar said that Chhote was so frightened that he did not anyone about his thrashing.
