Ara : Inmates of Ara jail thrashed and injured a Ward Attendant Tunna Prasad on January 14, 2019, for protesting their unruly behaviour. Later, the jail administration sent them to the cell.
Superintendent, Ara Jail, Niranjan Pandit said that Ara jail inmates : Bharat Mahto and Chunnu Mahto, dreaded criminals of Jagdishpur, along with some other inmates thrashed Ward Attendant Tunna Prasad and injured him. He said Tunna Prasad used to oppose unruly behaviour of Bharat Mahto and Chunnu Mahto.
The Jail Superintendent said that the jail administration sent seven inmates including Bharat Mahto and Chunnu Mahato to the cell and added the unruly inmates had been identified and would be shifted to another jail.
