Ara : An inmate of Ara jail had hatched a conspiracy to kill a person, said to be an eyewitness witness in a murder case, and had given Rs 1 lakh contract to a gang of criminals for the purpose. The matter came to light after police arrested and interrogated one of the members of the gang Nagendra Yadav. Police also seized some live roundsĀ from his possession.
Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar on September 19, 2018, said that he got information that some criminals were hatching plan at village Chowkipur Paswan under Udwantnagar police station to commit crime and so he sent a police team to arrest them. Seeing police, the criminals opened fire and injuring a police personnel Shiv Kumar. Police too returned fire injuring one of the miscreants Nagendra Yadav though others escaped firing in the air.
The SP said that Nagendra Yadav was in constant touch with Ara Jail inmate Babloo Tatwa after exchange of fire with police. Police seized his mobile and his talk with the inmate of Ara jail was confirmed after police took out Call Detail Report (CDR) of his mobile.
The SP said that during interrogation, Nagendra Yadav confessed that Babloo Tatwa, an inmate of Ara jail, had given contract of Rs 1 lakh to the gang kill a person named Doctor as he was an eye witness in a murder case. After his revelation, the SP conducted raids in Ara jail and interrogated Babloo Tatwa and seized a mobile and a SIM from his possession. Later, Jail Superintendent Niranjan Pandit lodged a named FIR with Ara Town police station against Babloo Tatwa.
