Ara : Additional District and Session Judge VI, Ara, Tribhuan Yadav, on June 11, 2019, sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment one Guddu Rajwar for killing his wife on April 8, 2016. The Court also slapped a fine of Rs 6,000 on the convict.

APP Ram Prasad Ram said that Gudia, daughter of Mangal Rajwar of village Bigaha  under Kachhawaha police station in Rohtas district, was married to Guddu Rajwar of village Khabari  under Tarari police station in Bhojpur district in 2004. Guddu Rajwar allegedly had extra-marital relation with a woman of the village which Gudia always protested. Guddu Rajwar used to tharsh her for protesting his relation with the other woman.

On April 8, 2016, night, Guddu Rajwar killed her and performed her last rites to erase evidence. On April 10, 2016, Mangal Rajwar lodged a named FIR with Nawada police station against Guddu Rajwar in this connection. The ADJ VI framed charges against him on September 5, 2018.
