Ara : Additional District and Session Judge VII, Ara, Shweta Kumari Singh, on August 19, 2021, sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment to Guddu Mahto in a murder case. The court also slapped fine of Rs 20,000 on him.
APP Dadan Prasad Srivastava said that police had recovered body of Bijananan Musahar from the outskirts of village Chirapur Sahangi under Ayar police station (PS) on September 3, 2004. The deceased was a resident of Sahangi village. A named FIR was lodged by police against Guddu Mahto and others of Sahangi village on the statement of deceased’s wife Sukia. She said in the FIR that Guddu Mahto took Bijananan Musahar from his house on September 2, 2004, night and threw his body on the outskirts of the village after killing him, she alleged.
Hearing both the parties, the ADJ VII found Guddu Mahto guilty of murder and awarded rigorous imprisonment to him. The court also slapped a fine of Rs 20,000 on him.
