Ara court sentences 4 persons to rigorous life imprisonment in murder case

Ara : Additional District and Sessions Judge VI, Ara, Tribhuwan Yadav, on April 10, 2019, sentenced to life imprisonment to four persons including three brothers and also slapped a fine of Rs 6,000 on each of them in a murder case.

APP Siyaram Singh said that Rupan Yadav of Badaka Chanda under Koelwar police station was killed with sharpedged weapon on January 7, 2017, when he had gone to the market to buy medicine. Police recovered the body on January 8, 2017, from the outskirts of Kulharai on the information of villagers. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Koelwar police station against four persons : Subhag Rai, Sona Lal Rai, and his brothers : Ram Ayodhya Rai, Ram Darshan Rai, on the statement of the wife of the deceased Meera Devi.

The APP said that mother of Sona Lal Rai was arrested for selling liquor while Rupan Yadav was arrested for taking liquor and both were sent to jail. Sona Lal Rai and others were pressurising Rupan Yadav to take charge of their mother on his head but he refused and so when he came out of the jail on bail, Sona Lal Rai and others killed him.

After hearing both the parties, ADJ VI, Tribhuwan Yadav awarded rigorous life imprisonment to Sona Lal Rai, his brothers : Ram Darshan Rai and Ram Ayodhya Rai, and his relative Subhag Rai and also slapped a fine of Rs 6000 on each of them.
