Ara court sentences 2 persons to life imprisonment in murder case

Ara : Additional District and Sessions Judge IV, Ara, R K Singh, on August 1, 2018, sentenced to rigorous life  imprisonment two accused : Kariya Singh and Bhola Singh, and also slapped a fine of Rs 25,000 on each of them for killing a fellow villager in September 2006.

Girija Shankar Singh was beaten to death at village Keshavpur under Barhara police station in Bhojpur district on September 8, 2006, and a named FIR was lodged with the police station against three persons including Bhola Singh of the same village on the statement of the deceased’s wife Renu Devi. Personal enmity was said to be the cause behind the incident. After hearing both the parties, the ADJ IV R K Singh sentenced two accused to rigorous life imprisonment.
