Ara : Additional District and Sessions Judge, Ara, Pranav Shankar issued on July 11, 2017, ordered for withholding the salary of the SHO, Koelwar police station (PS), in BHojpur district, for not complying with the order of the court.
The then Sub-Inspector, Koelwar police station Harishchandra Thakur, had filed a named FIR with Koelwar police station against seven persons of village Rajpur in connection with gambling in 1997. Four persons had appeared in the court but Jitendra Singh, Damodar Singh and Vijay Singh did not appear in the court. The court issued warrant of arrest against them but they still did not appear before the court after which the court issued warrant of property attachment against the trio but the SHO did not comply with the order of the court. The court took the matter seriously and ordered for withholding his salary till compliance of order of the court.
