Ara court orders for Potency Test of man

Ara : Bhojpur District and Sessions Judge, Amarnath Pati Tripathi, has ordered for Potency Test of a man on the complaint of his wife and directed Civil Surgeon, Bhojpur, Sadar Hospital, Ara, to submit the test report before the court. On the direction of the court, the man concerned was taken to the Sadar Hospital, Ara, for Potency Test on February 18, 2019. A medical board comprising three doctors : Dr K N Sinha, Dr Sujit Kumar, and Dr R K Mandal, examined him and later referred him to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) saying that Sadar Hospital, Ara, does not have facility to conduct Potency Test.

A mother of two sons has lodged a named FIR with Women’s police station against her husband of Buxar alleging he impotent and he is also not the father of her two children.

The matter reached the court and the District and Session Judge, after hearing the plea, ordered for Potency Test of the man on February 1, 2019, but he did not go to the Sadar Hospital. Civil Surgeon Dr Jagdish Singh informed the court that the person had not come to the hospital for test. At this, the court once again ordered and fixed the date and the man concerned was brought over to the Sadar Hospital on February 18, 2019, for Potency Test.
