Ara : Some anti-social elements attacked the convoy of sitting JD(U) MLA and party nominee from Agiaw (R) Assembly Constituency (AC) Prabhu Nath Prasad at village Chilhar in Kirkiri Panchayat under Azimabad police station in Bhojpur District in South Bihar on October 26, 2020, late evening, when he was returning home after electioneering. They miscreants also damaged several vehicles.
Senior police officials said that police are investigating the matter. Meanwhile, a video relating to the incident has gone viral on social media. It shows a large number of people raising slogans ‘go back Prabhu Nath,’ ‘No road, No vote.” In view of the strong protest of the villagers, Prabhu Nath Prasad escaped from the spot leaving his vehicle behind.
Prabhu Nath said that on the last date of canvassing, he was returning after election campaign, and when he reached near village Chilhar in Kirkiri panchayat, some anti-social elements attacked his convoy and damaged several vehicles with traditional weapons. He said when he proceeded, dozens of anti-social elements raised slogans in favour of Grand Alliance. He stated that the attack was well planned and added he would take legal action against the miscreants. He said the senior officials have been informed about the incident and added that he would identify the attackers if they were brought before him.
