Patna : The anti- encroachment drive currently underway in Patna is slated to continue till September 5, 2018. Whether the drive would continue post September 5 will depend on Divisional Commissioner, who is monitoring the anti-encroachment drive.
Deputy Commissioner, Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC), Vishal Anand, said that the drive is not just a judicial directive but a routine move, which the corporation intends to conduct the drive whenever required to keep Patna clean.
The PMC carried out anti-encroachment drive in Naya tola, Baripath, on September 1, 2018. On August 31, it had carried out the drive under Mahatma Gandhi Setu flyover, Shalimar Sweets to Tempo Stand, Kankarbagh, and Kanti Factory road, Kankarbagh, Fakhruddin Plaza to Bhikhna Pahari, Bankipore, and Hardinge Road, Circular Road, Strand Road, Patliputra Rounabout to Patliputra Industrial Area under New Capital Circle of PMC.
