Munger: Sanjay Keshri,convenor, Munger district anti- corruption activities front, has demanded probe by the SIT led by Patna SSP Manu Maharaaj into the circumstance under which the district education officer, Munger, relieved a high school teacher Anil Kumar Singh to join at Bihar School Examination Board BSEB),Patna, on deputation. He has questioned whether the established rules were stricly followed by the education department particulalrly when the then Munger Deputy development commissioner (DDC), in his note, had reportedly mentioned to adher to the rule in the matter. The police are probing under what circumstances, the Munger DDC issued No objection certificate (NOC) in the case.
Keshri has sought to know whether Anil Kumar Singh was paid his salary of a contractual teacher at the BSEB office or some additional payment was made to him by the board when he was functioning there as the PA to the then chairman of the board Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh, who is in jail for his active involvement in the Intermediate topper scandal s this year.
