Muzaffarpur: Muzaffarpur was supplied power for only three hours on Friday as unit two of Kanti Thermal Power Corporation has stopped production due to shortage of coal. The unit one had already stopped power production for the same reason earlier. Muzaffarpur district was getting 180 MW power from Kanti Thermal Power Corporation but with its two units stopping power generation, it is getting only 95 MW since September 15, 2016. The officials of the power plant said that the two units had stooped power generation for want of coal supply.
