Patna : Anil Kumar, City SP, Gaya, was appointed SP, Sitamarhi, on March 8, 2019, evening. He has replaced D Amarkesh, a 2013 batch IPS officer, who has been appointed SP, Economic Offence Unit (EOU).
D Amarkesh was appointed Sitamarhi SP on February 18, 2019. His transfer within 18 days follows death of two persons under custody of Dumra police station in Sitamarhi district recently.
Sushil Kumar, SP, EOU, has been appointed City SP, Gaya. The Home (Police) Department issued a notification regarding these transfers on March 8, 2019.
