Patna : Two unidentified criminals shot dead Alauddin alias Bikau, 35, owner of an ambulance, at Gulbi Ghat under Sultanganj police station (PS), in broad daylight on January 15, 2021, afternoon, and escaped. Alauddin had gone to Gulbi Ghat to attend the funeral of his friend’s mother.Police were groping in dark about the identity of the assailants till late January 15 evening.
SHO, Sultanganj PS, said that the assailants reached the cremation ground walking probably after parking their two-wheeler somewhere, reached near Alauddin, fired on his head and chest from point blank range, and escaped before the people present there could react. The SHO while admitting that police were yet to make a breakthrough in the case said that the deceased too had criminal antecedents and some cases were pending against him.
Alauddin was living at a quarter on PMCH campus with his family. His younger brother is an Assistant at PMCH.
