Patna : R Balki directorial ‘Padman’ starring Akshya Kumar, Radhika Apte, and Sonam Kapoor, has done a business of Rs 52.04 crore in the first five days since its release on February 9, 2018.

The film deals with menstrual hygiene and is based on real life story of Arunachalam Muruganantham who developed a machine for producing low cost sanitary napkins. ‘Padman’ did a business of Rs 6.12 crore on February 13. Made on a budget of over Rs 70 crore, the film is likely to do decent business in coming days. The film was released on 2,750 screens in India.
