Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Padman’ collects Rs 10.26 cr on day 1

Patna : ‘Padman’, a Akshay Kumar, Radhika Apte, and Sonam Kapoor starrer directed by R Balki, grossed Rs 10.26 crore on its first day on February 9, 2018. Co-produced by Twinkle Khanna, the film was released on 2,750 screens across the country on February 9.

The film, a social drama, is based on real life story of Arunachalam Murugananatham of Tamilnadu, who developed a machine to produce low cost sanitary napkins. Akshay’s performance in the film has been rated as ‘Class Act’ by many experts. The film, which has been reportedly made at a budget of Rs 70 crore, is expected to pick up business due to very good reviews.
