Ara: Hundreds of activists of All India Students’ Association (AISA) led by their district president Shabbir took out a procession from their office near Ara eastern railway crossing on Friday morning that passed through the main thoroughfares of the town and reached Ara railway station where they and stopped the Mughalsarai-Patna passenger for about an hour by squatting on the railway track and also boarding the train engine under Danapur division of East Central Railway (ECR) in protest against suspension of students by the BHU administration and firing by the body guard of the Vice Chancellor, Patna University (PU), on the students who were trying to meet the VC.

They stopped the train in presence of GRP and RPF personnel. They raised slogans against Bihar and UP governments besides BHU and PU administrations and demanded immediate revocation of action suspension of students by the BHU administration and stern against the bodyguard of PU VC. As a result several long distance trains remainded  stranded at different railway stations under Danapur rail division. The passengers especially women and children were worst hit in this summer as they had to go without water and other necessary provisions for hours.
