Gurugram (Haryana) : Replying to Bangladesh’s 262/7 in 50 overs, Afghanistan were 194/8 after 45 overs in the 31st match of CWC at The Rose Bowl, Southampton, UK, on June 24, 2019, night, with Samiullah Shinwari batting on 43 while Dawlat Zadran was yet to open his account. Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib.  Al Hasan, who earlier scored 51, has taken 5/26 in 9 overs. Shakib has completed 6,000 plus runs and 250 plus wickets in ODIs. Afghanistan need 69 runs in 30 balls.

Rashid Khan fell to fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman for 2 while Najibullah Zadran fell to spinner Shaib Al Hasan for 23. Chasing a target of 263, Afghanistan openers Gulbadin Naib ( captain) and Rahmat Shah, scored 47 and 24 runs respectively adding 49 runs for the first wicket. Rahmat fell to Shakib Al Hasan for 24 while Hashmatullah Shahidi fell to Mosaddek Hossain for 117. Afghanistan had lost five wickets for 11 runs only.
