Patna : Covid-19 cases increased to 2,61,942 in Bihar on February 18, 2021, afternoon, as 63 more persons including 21 from Patna, 6 from Nawada, 5 from Madhubani, 4 each from Begusarai and Gaya, 3 each from Banka and Lakhisarai, and 2 each from Aurangabad, Bhagalpur, Jehanabad, Purnia, and Vaishali, tested positive for the pandemic on February 17, 2021.
Of the 2,61,942 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar, a total of 2,59,898 patients have been declared cured including 68 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) being 99.22%. The state has tested 22121258 samples so far including 35,175 samples on February 17, 2021. The number of active cases in Bihar was 512 on February 18, 2021.
The Covid-19 toll climbed to 1,531 in Bihar on February 18, 2021, with 2 new deaths being recorded in the state including one each in Nalanda and Begusarai. With this, the toll increased to 59 in Nalanda and 37 in Begusarai on February 18, 2021.
