Patna:  District Magistrate (DM), Patna, Kumar Ravi, on July 7, 2020, said that action would be taken against officials found not wearing masks. He directed officials concerned to take effective measures to ensure use of masks and rules of social distancing even on  collectorate premises.
DM Kumar was participating at a meeting on checking spread of COVID-19 at Hindi Bhawan Auditorium here. He directed the officials to increase capacity of Isolation Centres and also identify new buildings in view of situation arising due to Coronavirus. During the meeting, it was decided to increase the capacity of 600 bed isolation centres already running at Barh, Masaurhi, Paliganj, Bihta, and Patna City within next three days.
The DM directed the officials concerned to activate Deep Narayan Institute of Management at Shastri Nagar and Dasharath Manjhi Institute, Patna. He asked SDO (Sadar) to inspect and provide information on developing two coaches of railway, each having capacity of 320 bed, to operate as isolation centres.

Apart from this, preparations are being made to operate paid Covid Care centres on Bailey Road. He instructed to increase 2,000 beds in next three days at isolation centres. He directed to ensure adequate deputation of officers and personnel for effective monitoring of catering and cleanliness at isolation centres. If required, teachers would be also deployed there, he said.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Development Commissioner Riche Pandey, Additional Collector Rajiv Shrivastava, Civil Surgeon Dr Rajkishore Chaudhary, all SDOs, and district level officers.
