Ara : The Acting Vice-Chancellor (VC), Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara, Rajendra Prasad, also VC of Magadh University (MU), has revoked the suspension of Registrar of the University Dhirendra Kumar Singh and said the latter would continue in office.
The then Vice-Chancellor, VKSU, Devi Prasad Tiwari, had suspended the Registrar, Dhirendra Kumar Singh, on June 1, 2021, and ordered him him to report to his parent college, Shershah College, Sasaram, before proceeding on Compulsory Leave on the direction of the Chancellor cum Governor, Bihar. But the acting VC Prasad reverted his order after joining the office of the VC, VKSU.
The then VC Tiwari had sought clarification from the Registrar, VKSU, Singh, on May 29, 2021, in connection with several charges against him and also misleading the officials. Tiwari though was not satisfied with Singh’s reply and suspended him on June 1, 2021. But, Acting VC Rajendra Prasad, after the assuming the office of the acting VC, VKSU, revoked Singh’s suspension saying he had talk with the Governor’s Secretariat in this regard and the Registrar would continue in the office.
The Chancellor cum Governor, Bihar, sent VC, VKSU, Devi Prasad Tiwari, had sent Compulsory Leave on June 2, 2021, in connection with financial and administrative irregularities and also for not letting the inquiry committee to inquire into the matter.
Registrar Singh said that the former VC Tiwari had sent his suspension letter signed on June 1, 2021, on his WhatsApp on June 2, 2021, at 10 am. It may be mentioned that the Governor had appointed Prof. Dhirendra Kumar Singh as Registrar, VKSU, but Tiwari did not apprise the Governor office of the action taken against the Registrar.
