Patna: The family members of an acid attack victim of Aurangabad are being threatened with dire consequence if they did withdraw the case against them.
A few youths reached the house of Mohd. Qausar Quadri at Raja Bazaar locality under Rafiganj police station on September 22, 2016, and asked the family members to withdraw the case against the five accused or face the music. An FIR was lodged against them with Rafiganj police station on Friday by Quadri in this connection.
It may be mentioned here that Rukhshana (pseudo name), daughter of Quadri, was attacked with acid allegedly by one Azhar about three months ago. The reason was that the minor girl had rejected his advances. The accused along with his relatives attacked her with acid when she was returning after attending her tuition classes causing serious burn injuries to her. She was first treated at Aurangabad from where she was taken to a reputed hospital in New Delhi where she succumbed to her injuries five days back.
Sadar SDPO P N Sahu said that adequate security has been provided to the girl’s family members.
