Ara:  Under the banner of Akhil Bharatiya Kisan Mahasangh (ABKM), a ‘Kisan Mahapanchayat’ was held on November 15 in front of the office of Bhojpur District Magistrate (DM) under the leadership of Tarari MLA Sudama  vember Prasad, member, national executive committee, ABKM. Over five hundreds male and female participated at the Kisan Mahapanchayat.

Addressing the gathering, Sudama Prasad lashed out at the central and state governments saying both of them are  anti-farmers. He said that PM Narendra Modi had assured the farmers at the time of 2014 LS polls to increase the support price of paddy one and half time of the existing price if his party was voted to power but he did not stick to his promise and the farmers feel cheated.

Prasad said that the National Price Control Commission had said last year that the price of one quintal of paddy must  be at least Rs 1,600 but both the government fixed the  support price at Rs 1,470 that too without any bonus. He added that in Punjab the government procures paddy by opening purchase counter at every village as soon as harvesting starts. He added that the Punjab government procures paddy from ‘bataidar’ farmers and they do not to produce any paper for that. He asked the state government to adopt Punjab government model and procure paddy from the ‘bataidar’ farmers. He also demanded of the state government to announce Rs 2,500 support price for paddy besides Rs 500 bonus per quintal.

Prasad said that the Narendra Modi government played foul in the name of checking black money as it was, in fact, trying to help the corporate houses.

  1. First of all I want to say awesome blog! I had a quick question that
I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior to writing.
I have had a tough time clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out.
I truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first
10 to 15 minutes are generally lost simply just trying to figure
out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints?
    Thank you!

  2. After I initially commented I appear to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are
added- checkbox and from now on whenever a comment is added I recieve four emails
with the same comment. Is there a way you can remove me from that service?
    Kudos!

  3. An interesting discussion is worth comment. I do think that you should
publish more on this subject matter, it may not be a taboo matter but typically people do not discuss these subjects.
    To the next! Best wishes!!
