Patna : Ruling AAP swept the Delhi Assembly polls winning 62 seats in the 70–Member House securing 53.57 % votes leaving the BJP trailing far behind with only 8 seats getting 38.51 votes.

CM Arvind  Kejriwal won from New Delhi Assembly Constituency (AC) defeating Sunil Kumar Yadav, BJP, by  21,697 votes while Deputy CM Manish Sisodia defeated Ravinder Singh Negi, BJP,  by 3,207 votes. AAP had won 67 seats in 2015 Assembly polls while the BJP had won 3 seats.

Congress, which had ruled Delhi from 1998 to 2013, drew a blank in the polls getting only 4.26 % votes while the JD(U) got 0.91 % votes.
