Patna : World No 6 A N Seyoung, 19, South Korea, hammered World No 7 P V Si ndhu, 26, India, in straight games in women’s single final to win the season-ending HSBS BWF World Tour Finals trophy at Bali, Indonesia, on December 5, 2021.

A N Seyoung, who had won the HSBC BWF  Indonesia Open title defeating 2013 World Champion Ratchanok Intanon, 26, Thailand, on November 28, 2021, beat Sindhu, the reigning World Champion & Two-time Olympic medallist, 21-16, 21-12 in only 39 minutes in final to lift the HSBC BWF World Tour Finals crown. A N Seyoung had won BWF Indonesia Masters title on November 21, 2021, defeating World No 3 Akanae Yamaguchi in Final.  The South Korean has won three titles in three weeks.

The South Korean won 42 points during the match to 28 points by Sindhu. She won 5 consecutive points during the match to 4 points by the Indian, who had to settle for the silver medal. Sindhu featured in finals of three tournaments in 2021.
