Patna : Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on June 18, 2018, assured allocation of fund to A N College, Patna, under Patliputra University, for construction of a multi- storey building on its campus to overcome inadequate infrastructure.
Addressing a function organised by A N College to mark the birth anniversay of Anugrah Narayan Singh -cum- College Foundation Day, the CM spoke about the key role of Anugrah Narayan Singh in pre-independence movement including the Champaran Satyagraha.
The CM congratulated the girls for their excellent results at the state board exams every year and taking keen interest in studies. He highlighted the positive impact of Poshaak Yojana, Cycle Distribution for girls, Students Credit Card and schemes like Manav Vikaas Mission.
Principal S P Shahi stated that the college library has over 1 lakh books, 2 lakh e-books and over 4,000 e-journals. He also highlighted the gradual increase in NAAC rating of the college and said it has now A grade accreditation. He highlighted the collaboration of college with European Union and Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. VC, Patliputra University, Gulabchand Ram Jaiswal was also present on the occsion.
