Sitamarhi:  Nine lakh people participated in Human Chain formation in Sitamarhi district of North Bihar on January 21. Altogether 400 km long  Human Chain was formed in the district to create awareness about prohibition enforced in Bihar in April 2016.

The Human Chain was formed between village Korlahia on NH77 and Sonbarsa on Indo-Nepal border and from Bairgania to Pupri in the district. Sitamarhi DM Rajiv Raushan actively monitored and participated in the event with the help of officials and district police under the leadership of SP Hari Prasath S. Aerial survey by a drone and an
aeroplane was also conducted. Officials, members of political parties, bank employees, students of government and private school and colleges, NGOs, Aaganwadi employees, NCC, NSS, Scouts and guides, Nehru Yuva
Kendra, Lions club, social organizations, intellectuals and lawyers actively participated in the programme.
