250 pouches of liquor recovered from pond at Rohtas village

Bikramganj ( Rohtas): A  team of Excise Department, acting on a tip off, searched a pond at village Ghusia Khurd under Bikramganj police station in Rohtas district on Tuesday evening and recovered 250 pouches of countrymade liquor kept in a gunny bag there. The liquor was allegedly manufactured in Jharkhand. It may be mentioned here that after a complete ban on the sale and purchase of liquor in Bihar, the businessmen dealing in liquor manage to smuggle it from neighbouring state. Despite strict vigil by the district administration and the excise department, such liquor dealers continue their business.
