Motihari : Bihar bandh call given by AISA and INAUS and supported by five –party Grand Alliance (GA) on January 28, 2022, had little impact in East Champaran District in North Bihar. At Motihari, the district headquarters, majority of shops and other business establishments remained open and movements of vehicles on roads was normal . According to railway job aspirants, they did not participate in this bandh.
The RJD and Left parties workers and their student wings members had fanned out to enforce bandh in morning hours. They also blocked the main roads at Chandmari, Minabazar, Chhatauni, and Gyanbabu Chowk in Motihari town and prevented the movement of traffic for half an hour.But, the district administration had deployed police force at all important places in the town to maintain law and order. The protesters blocked the NH28 Muzaffarpur- Motihari at several places impacting the traffic for one hour.
