Saharsa : Unidentified criminals stole jewellery worth about Rs 10 lakh from the house of a Bank Of India personnel Deepak Kumar Singh located at Batraha. Krishna Nagar, Ward No 23, under Sadar police station (PS), Ssaharsa,, in North Bihar, on January 23, 2022, late night, when he and his family members were at a private hospital in connection with treatment of his father.

Deepak Kumar Singh is a tennat at the house of a Central Bank of India officer Vishwabhar Jha, also posted at Purnia, The thieves also  stole valuables from the house of the landlord Jha. Deepak Singh’s father is seriously ill and is in ICU at the private hospital. He informed police that he had returned home from hospital on January 23, 2022, night, to take something and saw five-six youth sitting near his house. He, however, did not attach any importance to it and soon returned to the hospital. Deepak noticed the theft when he returned home the next morning. The thieves had entered his house after breaking open the main gate.

SHO, Sadar PS in Purnia District, Jai Shankar Prasad, said that police have received information about the theft and the matter is under investigation. The SHO said that police would take action against the thieves. Police visted the place of occurrence.
