New Delhi : India reported 7,189 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours taking the tally of cases recorded so far in the country to 3,47,79,815 cases at 8 am on December 25, 2021.
A total of 7,286 Covid-19 patients, on the other hand, recovered in the country in last 24 hours increasing the cumulative tally of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,42,23,263 at 8 am on December 25, 2021. India’s recovery rate stands at 98.40%, highest since March 2020.
India’s Active Caseload was dropped to 77,032 on December 25, 2021, the lowest in 579 days. Active cases constitute 0.22% of the country’s total Positive Cases, the lowest since March 2020, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 11,12,195 sample tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 67.10 Crore (67,10,51,627) cumulative tests.
The Weekly Positivity Rate at 0.60% remains less than 1% for the last 41 days now. The Daily Positivity rate was 0.65% on December 25, 2021. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 2% for last 82 days and below 3% for 117 consecutive days now.
Meanwhile, with the administration of 66,09,113 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 141 Crore (1,41,01,26,404) as per provisional reports till 7 am on December 25, 2021. This has been achieved through 1,49,64,300. sessions.
