New Delhi : India logged 7,081 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours. Less than 15,000 Daily New Cases have been reported for last 52 days now.
A total of 7,469 Covid-19 patients, on the other hand, were declared cured/ discharged in the country in last 24 hours increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic to 3,41,78,940 on December 19, 2021. India’s recovery rate (RR) was 98.38% on December 19, the highest since March 2020.
India’s Active Caseload further dropped to 83,913 on December 19, 2021, the lowest in 570 days. Active cases constitute 0.24% of the country’s total Positive Cases, the lowest since March 2020, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 12,11,977 sample tests being conducted in the country India has so far conducted over 66.41 Crore (66,41,09,365) sample tests.
The Weekly Positivity Rate at 0.61% remains less than 1% for the last 35 days now. The Daily Positivity rate reported was 0.58% on December 19, 2021. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 2% for last 76 days and below 3% for 111 consecutive days now.
With the administration of 76,54,466 vaccine doses in last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 137.46 Crore (1,37,46,13,252) as per provisional reports till 7 am on December 19, 2021today. This has been achieved through 1,44,53,135 sessions.
