Patna : India were 69/0 in 21 overs at stumps on day 2 in their second innings in 2nd test against New Zealand (NZ) at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, Maharashtra, with openers asĀ  Mayank Agarwal and Cheteshwar Pujara unbeaten on 38 ( 6 fours) and 29 runs ( 3 fours and 1 six) respectively. India, who were all out for 325 runs in their 1st innings earlier on the day, lead by 332 runs. In between, NZ were all out for just 62 runs in 28.1 overs in their first innings on day 2, their lowest against India. India had won the toss and opted to bat.

Sixteen wickets fell on day 2. First, resuming at their overnight score of 221/4, India were all out for 325 runs in 109.5 overs with NZ spinner Ajaz Patel taking 10/119 in 47.5 overs taking all the 10 Indian wickets becoming the third bowler after England spinner Jim Laker and India’s Anil Kumble, also a spinner to achieve rhe feat. Then, India bowler got into the act and demolished NZ batting order getting them out for a paltry 62 runs with Ravichandran Ashwin taking 4/8 in 8 overs and pacer Mohd. Siraj taking 3/19 in 4 overs. Spinner Axar Patel took 2/14 in 9.1 overs. Axar has also scored 52 runs in this test.
