New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 28, 2021, expressed grief over the loss of lives due to a road accident in Nadia, West Bengal.
In a tweet, the Prime Minister said; “Extremely pained by the loss of lives due to a road accident in Nadia, West Bengal. My thoughts are with the bereaved families. May the injured recover at the earliest.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each from Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the next of kin of those who have lost their lives due to the road accident in Nadia, West Bengal. Rs. 50,000 would be given to the injured.

It may be mentioned here that 18 persons died and 8 other were injured as the Matador they were travelling by collided with a truck parked on the roadside in Nadia District in West Bengal on November 27, 2021, night, while heading towards a crematorium.
