New Delhi : India reported 8,774 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, up from 8,318 cases on November 27, 2021. Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported for 154 consecutive days now.
On the other hand, a total of 9,481 Covid-19 patients were declared cured/ discharged in last 24 hours in the the country, down from 10,967 recoveries on November 27, 2021, increased the cumulative tally of recoveries since the beginning of the pandemic to 3,39,98,278 on November 28, 2021. India’s recovery rate (RR) was 98.34% on November 28, 2021, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
The Active Caseload further dropped to 1,05,691 in India on November 28, 2021, from 1,07,019 cases on November 27, 2021. Active cases accounted for 0.31% of the country’s total Positive Cases on November 28, the lowest since March 2020.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 10,91,236 sample tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 63.94 Crore (63,94,27,262) sample tests.
The Weekly Positivity Rate at 0.85% remains less than 1% for the last 14 days now. The Daily Positivity rate was 0.80% on November 28, 2021. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 2% for last 55 days and below 3% for 90 consecutive days now.
With the administration of 82,86,058 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 121.94 Crore (1,21,94,71,134) as per provisional reports till 7 am on November 28, 2021. This has been achieved through 1,26,30,392 sessions.
