Sasaram : A man allegedly killed his wife at village Kochas in Rohtas District in South Bihar on November 21, 2021, late evening, in the presence of  his children and escaped. The deceased was identified as Soni Devi, wife of Golu Sah.

Police later brought the body to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. An FIR has been lodged with police in this connection. Police are also investigating the matter.

DSP, Sasaram, Binod Kumar Rawat, said that Soni Kumari, daughter of Saryug Sah of Dumari Raghunandanpur under Kudara police station (PS) in Kaimur District was married to Golu Sah of village Kargahar in Rohtas District in May 2017. Later, Golu Sah shifted to Kochas where he started a crab business but his relation with his wife was not good and they frequently quarrelled over trivial issues.

Soni Devi’s parents alleged that Golu Sah killed Soni Devi in the presence of his minor sons who also blamed their father for it. Golu Gupta, brother of the deceased alleged that Golu Sah frequently thrashed his sister and this time he killed her.
