Patna : Second seed & World No 4 Alexander Zverev, 24, Germany, and qualifier Frances Tiafoe, 23, USA, will clash in the final of Erste Bank Open, an ATP  500 indoor hard courts tennis tournament at Vienna, Austria, on October 31, 2021, at 6.30 pm, both winning their respective semi-final matches in contrasting fashion on October 30.

Reigning Olympics champion Zverev beat World No 42 Carlos Alcaraz Garfia, 18, Spain, in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 in 68 minutes in semi-final on October 30 winning 3 break points and 5 games in a row during the match. Zverev also fired 8 Aces in the match to just 1 by the Spaniard.

World No 49 Tiafoe beat 7th seed and World No 11 Jannik Sinner, 20, Italy, in a three-set contest 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 in 2hr 18 minutes in semi-final on October 30  rallying back from one set down. The American fired 7 Aces in the match to 8 by the Italian, who committed 3 double faults. Tiafoe won 4 break points during the match to 3 by Sinner. Both the players won 5 games each in a row during the match. Tiafie, in all, won 97 points during the match to 89 points by Sinner.
