New Delhi : India reported 15,906 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, down from 16,326 cases on October 23, 2021.Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported for 119 consecutive days now.
On the otther hand, a total of 16,479 Covid-19 recovered patients in last 24 hours, down from 17,677 recoveries on October 23, 2021, increasing the cumulative tally of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic to 3,35,48,605 on October 24, 2021. India’s recovery rate stands at 98.17%, at its highest peak since March 2020, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
The Active Caseload remains below 2 lakh mark and dropped to 1,72,594 on October 24, 2021, the lowest in 235 days. Active cases accounted for 0.51% of the country’s total Positive Cases, which is lowest since March 2020. The Active Caseload was 1,73,728 on October 23.
With the administration of 77,40,676 vaccine doses in last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has surpassed 100 Crore mark to reach 102.10 Crore (1,02,10,43,258) as per provisional reports till 7 am on October 24, 2021. This has been achieved through 1,01,28,910 sessions.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 13,40,158 tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 59.97 Crore (59,97,71,320) cumulative tests.
The Weekly Positivity Rate at 1.23% remains less than 2% for the last 30 days now. The Daily Positivity rate was 1.19% on October 24, 2021. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 2% for last 20 days and below 3% for 55 consecutive days now.
