Patna : Chennai Super Kings (CSK) scored 189/4 in 20 overs against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 47th match of match of IPL at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, UAE, as opener Ruturaj Gaikwad scored a brilliant unbeaten 101 in only 60 balls hitting 9 fours and 5 sixes including the last six to reach his maiden IPL ton. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja remained unbeaten on 32 in 15 balls with 4 fours and 1 six off fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman in 20th over.RR had won the toss and opted to bowl.

Ruturaj and Jadeja added 55 runs in only 22 balls in their unbroken partnership for the 5th wicket.  CSK scored 73 runs in last 5 overs. Mustafizur Rahman conceded 22 runs in last over including 2 fours and six by Jadeja and a six by Ruturaj, who had also the same bowler for a six on the first ball of 18th over. Ruturaj hit Akash Singh for 2 fours and 1 six on successive balls in 16th over. He also hit leg spinner Rahul Tewatia for a six in the 15th over.

Batting first, CSK openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis added 47 runs for the first wicket. Du plessis fell to Tewatia for 25 in 19 balls hitting 2 fours and 1 six. Suresh Raina also fell to Tewatia for 3 runs making it 57/2. Moeen Ali too fell to Tewatia for 21 runs making it 114/3. Ambati Rayudu fell to fast medium bowler Chetan Sakaria for 2 and it was 134/4 after 16.2 overs. Tewatia took 3/39 in 4 overs.
