Chas ( Jharkhand) : A total of 78 students of DPS Chas in Bokaro District, Jharkhand, brought laurels to their school by winning several medals including 02 Gold Medal at Zonal Level, 16 Gold Medal of Distinction, and 60 Gold Medal of Excellence at International General Knowledge Olympiad (IGKO), International English Olympiad (IEO), National Science Olympiad (NSO), and International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO), conducted by Gurugram based organisation ‘Science Olympiad Foundation’.
The Zonal Level gold medallist in IGKO are: Aalap Gorai of Class IV and Kishlay Sahu of Class VI. They received gift vouchers and a certificate for their excellent performance.
In IGKO, Pawan Kumar Gorain and Soham Vinayak Nagarkar of Class II, Aditya Kumar of Class IV and Sourav Kumar Dey of Class 10 won Gold Medal of Distinction
In IEO, Prakriti Choudhary and Aaradhya Sharma of Class II, Aerik Singh and Dakshesh Goswami of Class III, Saksham Singh of Class V, Aditi Shubham and Akanksha of Class VIII,e Sifa Praveen of Class 10 and Sreijan Sinha of Class 11 bagged Gold Medal of Distinction.
In NSO, Aditi Shubham of Class VIII got Gold Medal of Distinction while in International Mathematics Olympiad Shreyam Lath of Class IV and Shruti Singh of Class 10 received Gold Medal of Distinction.
It may be mentioned here that Zonal Topper Medals are awarded to those students who bag top-3 Zonal Rank while the medals of distinction is awarded to students for achieving Zonal Ranks 4 to 25 and the top rank holders from each class are awarded with the Gold Medal of Excellence.
Dr. Hemlata S Mohan, Chief Mentor, DPS Chas, congratulated the winners and wished them success for their future. She said that proper guidance of the teachers; hard work, and sincerity of the students always pays rich dividends. “The effort shown is praiseworthy and it signifies that the students are preparing themselves for a greater role ahead. These achievements will bring glory to their school and to their parents,” she said.
Dean Academics, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Mallick, expressed his happiness over enthusiastic participation of the students at such competitions. He congratulated every student on their success and wished them good luck for upcoming endeavours.
