Ara : A domestic help was beaten to death by his employer at village Shivpur under Dhangai police station in Bhojpur district on December 15 night for demanding his wage.

Later, police arrested the culprit and forwarded him to jail. SHO, Dhangai Police Station, said that Yogesh Tiwari of Gabrua village under Tarari police station worked at the house of Ajay Tiwari, an advocate at Jagdishpur Sub-divisional Court,  at Shivpur Tola under Dhangai police station for quite some time but his employer never paid his wage though Yogesh always demanded it.

On December 15 night, Ajay Tiwari fed Yogesh and when he slept he allegedly tied his legs and hands with ropes and beat him with traditional  weapon till he fainted, the SHO said. After Yogesh fell unconscious, Ajay informed police that a thief had entered his house.  The SHO rushed to the spot and admitted the injured to Ara Sadar Hospital but he succumbed to his injuries during  treatment but before breathing his last he told the police that Ajay had assaulted him for demanding his wages. On his statement, police arrested Ajay Tiwari and forwarded him to jail on December 16, the SHO added.
