Ara : Some unidentified miscreants shot at and injured a former Mukhia near village Narayanpur on Ara-Mohania main road under Jagdishpur police station (PS) on August 25, 2021.
The injured was admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital. An FIR was lodged with Jagdishpur PS in connection and police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. The reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained. The injured was identified as Gyanath Singh of village Harnahi under Jagdishpur PS and is former Mukhia of Bimwa panchayat.
SHO, Jagdishpur PS, said that Gyanath Singh had gone to Jagdishpur and was returning home on motorcycle. When he reached near village Narayanpur under the police station, some motorcycle borne miscreants fired indiscriminately injuring him and escaped. Gyanath Singh was Mukhia for 10 years but was defeated in the last panchayat elections. .
