Patna : Active cases count declined to 111 in Bihar including 21 in Patna on August 23, 2021, as only 8 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the state on August 22, down from 20 persons on the day before. The Active cases count in Bihar was 140 on August 22, 2021. The 8 new Covid-19 cases included 2 in Darbhanga and 1 each in Patna, Jamui, Samastipur, Sheikhpura, Sitamarhi, and Vaishali.
The state reported 1 new death due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours in Patna taking the toll to 9,650 in the state on August 23, 2021. With it, the toll climbed to 2,332 in Patna on August 23.
Bihar has recorded 7,25,596 Covid-19 cases so far of which 7,15,834 patients have been declared cured including 36 in last 24 hours with the recovery rte (RR) remanining static at 98.63% on August 23, 2021. The state has tested 4,05,97,706 samples so far including 88,431 samples on August 22, 2021.
