Bhabhua : Kaimur SP has suspended a Sub-Inspector (SI) Bijay Kumar Singh posted at Ramgarh police station (PS) with immediate effect for allegedly preventing a guest Md Sami Akhtar from raising slogans in favour of Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar and also dragging him out of the police station. Md Sami Akhtar had come to the police station to attend the Independence function on August 15, 2021. The SP suspended the took the action on the basis of an inquiry report submitted by the DSP, Mohania.
Mohania DSP Raghunath Singh said that Md Sami Akhar had come to the Ramgardh police station on August 15, 2021 to participate in the 75th Independence Day celebrations. He raised slogans ‘Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar ki Jai’ after hoisting of national flag. Hearing this, SI Bijay Kumar Singh prevented him from doing so and also misbehaved with him. The SI then allegedly dragged him out of the police station.
A video of the incident went viral in the social media. The SP took it seriously and directed the DSP to inquire into the matter. The Mohania DSP inquired into the matter and submitted his report to the SP. The Kaimur SP, on the basis of the DSP’s report, suspended the SI with immediate effect.
