Ara : Bhojpur police have cracked the August 9, 2021, gold and silver jewellery loot incident at Ara by arresting 11 miscreants including the liner and purchaser of the looted articles and also recovered looted jewellery from different jewellery shops.
The arrested criminals were identified as Md Arif alias Imran alias Raju, son of Naim of Milki Mohalla; Rishi Kumar, son of Kumar Sanjay of Gola Mohalla; Amir Khan, son of Samsulhaq Khan of Roja locality; Md Ali, son of Md Kapiq of Nadirganj; Md Tauhid, son of Md Intyaak of Bind Toli; Guddu Kumar, son of Bharat Prasad of Tari Mohalla; Kanhaiya Jee, son of Sita Ram Sah of Badi Masjid under Ara town police station; Abhijeet Kumar, son of Sampat Rai of Sultangaj under Khanpura police station in Sangali district of Maharashtra; Md Munna, son of Maqbul of Pakari under Nawada police station, Ara; Amit Sah, son of Bhola Singh of Moti Chowk under Khagaul police station in Patna; and Md Wasim,son of Shamim of Digha under the same police station in Patna district.

Police also recovered 2.700 kg of silver jewellery, 786 gram of melted silver, 3 gold chain, one countrymade pistol, one pistol, 11 live cartriges, one motorcycle, one car, clothes, shoes wore by them, 7 mobile phone, and Rs 15,600 cash.
Bhojpur SP Vinay Tiwari, talking to the mediapersons on August 15, 2021, evening, on Sunday said that some armed miscreants had looted gold and silver jewellery from two jewellery shops : A P Jewellers and J K Jewellers, Brahman Toli, about 100 meter away from Ara town police station on August 9, 2021, evening. Taking serious note of the incident, the SP formed a 15- member team under the SDPO Binod Kumar to arrest the miscreants.
Police on the basis of scientific and technical investigations and also on the basis CCTV footage solved the mystery of loot and arrested 11 miscreants along with looted articles at Ara when they were hatching plan to perpetuate crime somewhere. The SP said that police arrested Md Amir Khan alias Imran alias Raju from Milki Mohalla under Ara town police station and on his revelation, police arrested other 10 miscreants.
The SP said that Md Amir has criminal history and added that Abhijeet Kumar of Sultanganj under Khanpura police station in Maharashtra was an employee of Ridhi-Sidhi Jewellery and worked as liner for the miscreants. The SP further said that police are conducting raids to arrest the remaining members of the gang. He stated that police team had taken six suspects under custody for interrogation. He said that police recovered more than half of the looted articles form different jewellery shops.
