Ara : An National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team fished body of a youth from river Banas at Barap Tola under Gadhani police station (PS) in Bhojpur District three days after he drowned.
Later, police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased was identified as Sumant Kumar Pandey, 22, son of Sanjay Pandey of village Rampur under Gadhani PS. The deceased was a salesman by profession.
Ujjawal Kumar Pandey, brother of the deceased, said that Sumant Kumar Pandey had gone to the market for collection on on August 11, 2021. While returning home the same night, he lost control over his motorcycle on Chhota Bridge and fell into Banas river with the motorcycle and drowned. On getting information, his family members rushed to the spot and informed police. The police pressed a team of NDRF into operation that fished out the body after three days.
